AWARDS & ACCOLADES FOR THIS WINE
90 points Connoisseurs' Guide
It is not at all uncommon to find a certain herbal, mildly vegetal aspect in some Alexander Valley Cabernets, but this handsome effort goes straight for very pure fruit with careful accents of vanilla and milk chocolate played against strongly curranty themes. It is fleshy and firm with plenty of extract, and it is buttressed by a bit of age-appropriate tannin that makes it as ageworthy as it is buoyantly fruity. Put it away for at least four or five years. Dec 2011

Silverwood Vineyard awarded Grower Recognition for gold medal wines with designated vineyards. ~ 2011 Harvest Fair Awards

THE WINE SPIES: All the Glitters is Silverwood! Dark and fruit-forward, with a hint of smoky character. Blackberry, black cherry, black plum and darkly roasted espresso take the lead, here. The wine settles onto the palate, and reveals soft oak, subtle dried herbs, dried violet petals and hints of clove and black pepper.

See why InVino has chosen this wine for its members:
"When you’re looking for the kind of flavor-packing, palate-pleasing wine that can move mountains, your search ought to begin on the mountain itself. Here, it’s a highbred Cab—literally—from the tippy top of Cloverdale’s Pine Mountain, Sonoma County’s newest appellation located 2,200 feet above the meandering Russian River. These rugged soils make for extreme viticulture that, when tamed by winemaker Miro Tcholakov’s expert influence, results in a brand-new release that’s tiny in production and wonderfully abundant in everything else."
